Jörg Lehnigk

Graduate sports scientist

Since 2012 I have been working as a qualified sports scientist with a focus on performance diagnostics. Motivating people through sport and - in addition to improving performance - making patients healthier are my big goals. Sports and especially rowing have inspired me since I was 10 years old. In order to know exactly how the body reacts to movement through endurance, strength and coordination, I completed a degree in sports science at the University of Hamburg.

Competitive and popular sport

Running, cycling and cross-country skiing are the sports that inspire me in addition to rowing. I have completed numerous competitions in these sports.

Sport for diseases

In addition to performance-oriented sports, I am very interested in training patients with cardiac diseases and metabolic diseases. In the future, I would like to expand the training offer for patients with mental illnesses such as depression.

Sports Science

Using scientifically based training methods, I tailor my training to individual needs. To understand exactly how physical training has a positive effect on the body and organism.

Competitive sports

I started my ten-year international rowing career at the age of 18. My greatest successes were participating in the Olympic Games in Sydney and Beijing as well as various medals and world championships.
